When a good explanation isn’t enough

Sometimes the person in front of you already understands very well what is happening.

➡️ They recognise their patterns.
➡️ They know why they react in a certain way.
➡️ They may even be able to describe it with remarkable clarity.

And yet something still doesn’t change.

  • The body remains on alert.

  • The same thoughts keep returning.

  • A familiar tension comes back.

  • What was understood in the session doesn’t quite become something they can use in real life.

This is where an experiential intervention can add another dimension.

The Seeds of Change brings together 24 tools drawn from Integrative Sciences to turn ideas such as safety, self-regulation, interoception, flexibility and agency into something a person can experience directly.

Not just understand.

Feel it. Try it. Change something.

WHAT’S INSIDE

24 tools. A structure you can use straight away.

Each tool is designed to be easy to understand and practical to introduce into your existing work.
Inside you’ll find:

24 practical, experiential tools

To use during a session or, when appropriate, between sessions.

A brief explanation of the underlying mechanism

Enough to understand why the tool may help, without having to learn a whole new model first.

Clear practical guidance

What to do, what to notice, what the tool is designed to support, and when to proceed more carefully.

Two kinds of tools

CORE - Practices that become more useful through repetition and learning.

EXPLORE - Experiences designed mainly to open up a different perspective or awareness.

Three stages

DESIGNED TO COMPLEMENT WHAT YOU ALREADY DO
Not another therapy model

You don’t need to replace your existing approach to use The Seeds of Change.
These tools were deliberately selected because they can sit alongside different ways of working.

 More experience

The person doesn’t only receive an explanation. They get an opportunity to experience what you are exploring together.

 A more embodied perspective

Body, sensations, emotions, thinking and relationships can be brought into the same process without reducing change to any one level.

 More agency

A person can begin to experience that something is actually modifiable: posture, pace, attention, distance, movement, breathing or the way they respond.

CBT, EMDR, ACT, IFS, systemic, strategic, psychodynamic, coaching or counselling:

➡️ You don’t have to replace what already works

A more useful question is:

“Where could this add something to the work I already do?”

Cultivating change at every level

3 goals, 24 exercises as a practical answer.

1. Stabilization and the Window of Tolerance

Which approaches work toward this, simply but effectively? What tools exist beyond the ones you already know?

2. Enactment and a Sense of Agency

The clinical evidence favors experiential interventions. How do you bring them into everyday clinical work?

3. The Somatic Foundations of Change

Change is rooted in neural plasticity, epigenetics, and other embodied mechanisms. How do you support them simply, every day?

The Seeds of Change was created to answer exactly these needs: a ready-made path of 24 practical tools — a brief explanation, a concrete exercise, just a few lines — that brings these elements into your clinical work right away, whatever your approach.
